Nancy Beaulieu
Nancy Beaulieu is an enrolled member of the Leech Lake Nation and cofounder of the Endazhi-Onjii-Anishinaabewiyang Organization, where she has established herself as a prominent Indigenous rights activist and water protector. With an educational background in retail and sales management alongside metalsmithing, Beaulieu’s activism was catalyzed by her transformative experiences at Standing Rock, which ignited her dedication to water protection and treaty defense work. Since returning from Standing Rock, she has been instrumental in high-profile legal and advocacy efforts, including serving as one of three Anishinaabe defendants in the Camp Firelight Line 3 treaty occupation case, where she and her co-defendants achieved a significant legal victory. In recognition of her leadership role in the Line 3 pipeline resistance, Beaulieu was honored as one of the “10 Change Makers MN” by Women Press Magazine in December 2021, acknowledging her pivotal work in coordinating efforts to protect sacred waters and uphold treaty obligations while advocating for Indigenous sovereignty and the preservation of traditional Anishinaabe values
